More than forty years ago I started hunting antiques on a bicycle! Although as a dealer I've sold most of my early trophies, I still managed to keep some in my private collection. Since my son, Rudy Jr., joined the company, he has probably been even more driven than I am in hunting, buying, selling, and sometimes keeping, special finds.

The Private Collection reflects many years of passion, of collecting an eclectic mix of great objects, each with its own story. Each is treasured every day in our own homes.

Every decorative accessory in The Private Collection is a detailed replica, handmade by our incredible team of fine craftsmen or great independent artists that we will always treat as a part of our own family. Each item has its own characteristics, often emulating the use of reclaimed materials and the old fashioned way of producing each item individually.
